Our municipality surrounds
Roblin, the
"Jewel of the Parkland". It's a bustling community of about 1800 people that offers all the
services anyone could want. You can check out their newly renovated website at www.roblinmanitoba.com.
We partner with the town on many projects and programs, such as the Recreation
Commission, the Roblin District Library, the Fire Department, etc.
After hearing about our great town and all the activities offered in our area,
I'm sure you're thinking that life in the country just might be what you're
looking for. If you think our safe, friendly, community might be the place for you,
check out some of the
real estate available at www.north-star.ca.
Ricker's Campground has been a family owned and operated business in our area
for
over 30 years. On May 1, 2006 Wayne and Sylvia Ricker finally
decided to retire.
Keeping this a family run business, Clifford, Trudy, Clifton
and Shona Herman became
the new owners of Rickers Campground. They've got a
great website, with lots of fish
stories as well as a blog on all the happenings
at the campground. Just go to www.rickerscampground.com
to find all they have to offer.
Are
you a fisherman? If so
then you'll want to know about
FLIPPR (Fish & Lake
Improvement Program for the Parkland). Their web site is www.flippr.ca.
We are proud to have Twin Lakes, one of their tiger
trout stocked lakes, in our
municipality. To get to Twin Lakes drive North of Roblin on Hwy 83, past the San
Clara
turn off (PR #367). Hwy 83 will begin to head West (left) in approximately
5-7 miles; turn
right onto the the gravel road, heading North. The Twin
Lakes sign and entrance are on
the left.
